In the dictionary, regret is defined as “ a feeling of sadness, repentance, or disappointment over something that has happened or been done.”
If you have a regret, that means that you believe things would have been different if you had not done “x”. But how do you know that’s true? How can you be certain that things would not be worse than what they currently are? The reality is that it’s been done and there’s nothing you can do about it. Dwelling about it will not make it go away or make you feel better. Remove “regret” from your vocabulary. It’s not serving you. That being said, if you feel bad about something you did or something that happened, there may be a learning opportunity. Don’t ignore it. That may be a sign. Learn from it and be better tomorrow.
