Most people do work and want to be paid for their time which I understand and appreciate.
Unfortunately, as the owner of a business, it does not work like this. There can literally be years of work before the money starts to show up.
In fact, there is often money that needs to be put into the business before it can start making money which then needs to be paid back.
If you work for a new business, understand that money in the door does not mean money in the bank.
If you plan on starting a business, understand that it's a long term investment. Both in time and in money. If done right though, it can be one of the most fulfilling experiences of your life.
More importantly, if you want to stand the test of time, understand this:
"Profit" does not equal money in the bank."
Look for help, find mentors, ask lots of questions and find people who understand business.
If you work for a new business, keep in mind that if they go out of business, so do you...
