I have a habit of biting off more than I can chew...
I push myself beyond my perceived limits and by doing so I learn new things everyday. It's not easy but I always grow. I always accomplish more than what I could have done if I only accepted what I knew I could handle. Even though I may bite off more that I chew, I always chew it. Accept it. Whatever "it" is.
There's no point in fighting it. It happened. You can't change it. Be with it. Learn from it. Grow into it. Become it. Do anything other than fight it. The more your fight it, the stronger it will become. Use "it's" power to fuel your greatness! Do you have problems right now? Me to... But problems are a sign of life. If you don't have problems, you probably don't have much of a life... Which may be a problem... The only reason that businesses exist is because there are problems to solve. The only reason people make money is because they are solving problems. The only reason people get inspired is because they see a problem that needs to be solved. All that being said, if you do have "problems", what created the problems in the first place? More importantly, what was the mindset that created them? "Problems cannot be solved with the same mindset that created them." What's the first thing you do when you start a puzzle?
You flip over all the pieces and start with the border. Then you start organizing the pieces by colour and start fitting them in. The more pieces you fit, the easier it gets. Like most things in life, puzzles are easy to start and easy to finish but the bulk of it takes commitment and dedication. Why do we lie to ourselves?
We tell ourselves we're healthy when we put garbage into our bodies. We tell ourselves we exercise regularly when we know we only do it once a week. We tell ourselves we're giving it 120% at work when we know we could be doing more. We tell ourselves we "don't have time" when the truth is we have not prioritized that thing we seamingly don't have time for. I challenge you to stop lying to yourself. Be radically honest. Go easy on yourself though... It's a hard habit to break... Idle time.
Unplanned time. Lost time. Wasted time. Great times. A long time. A short time. Family time. Movie time. Rest time. Vacation time. Work time. Gym time. Sexy time. Lunch Time. Weekend time. Me time. The time of my life... Time is our most precious asset. Spend it wisely. If both sides are praying to God, which side does he choose?
Which side wins? First, I ask "what is winning?" If one side loses the match but learns valuable lessons in the process, is that really a loss? If one side wins the match because of a "bad call", Is that really a win? I believe we all get what we need. God will deliver exactly what we need to get us to where we are going. I always learn so I never lose. What do you do really well?
Perhaps you do it so well that you don't even know that you are doing it. It just comes naturally to you. Figure THAT out and do more of THAT. The universe will reward you for it. There are some things in life that just feel good.
They feel good because I know that it's the right thing to do. They feel good because I know the message and the lesson needs to be out in the world. The latest episode of Lean In with Casey Grey is a feel-good episode. It's a message that needs to be shared and spread across the world. It's a story of people making a difference. Doing what they can within their community to help this world. Doing the right thing is always the right thing to do. |
